A boring post today, it had been a long time since i saw the boys at meek automotive. I popped in today to get my tie rods replaced as it was causing some funky ass steering quirks on my wheels. $200 later i had new tie rods and steering boots!. was also watching the guys upgrade the turbo on another car and all i could think of was ... damn i need to do that shit!!

I'll need to get an alignment so i dont destroy the direzzas..and will get around to taking some new pics of the car! also a fuel pump upgrade is queued up in a few weeks.

what a day! we arrived at midday and the place was packed with spectators, cars and promo girls. we started out in the show and shine/pit area checking out all the machinery and ladies ;) i must say some of the girls there were way hotter than the promo girls but with the skimpy clothes.. who can complain aye?

There was lots to see and admire off track such as this slammed 370z and mad mikes quad rotor rx7!

As the day went on, the dark clouds were quickly drawing in and we were worried that it would rain out the day. thankfully it didnt ! and we got to witness an exciting battle between the top teams!

IT had all come down to the last 2 sessions on the day. It all came down to the last 2 sessions on Saturday to see who came out on top. In the last 2 sessions, the Panspeed and Revolution Rx7's pushed hard to try and post the fastest time but were silenced when Tarzan and the Unlimited works CyberEVO came out guns blazing! Tarzan was pushing the evo to the absolute limit and it paid off, posting the fastest time of the weekend! A blistering quick 1.28 and cracking the turbo in the process!. It was then up to Sierra-Sierra who had posted a 1.29 on friday to respond but after suffering some engine troubles it was just meant to be for the yanks. Tarzan had done it again! successfully defending his title and becoming the WTAC 2011 winner!

....i totally forgot i had this blog!
its been a crazy last few months and its only about to get worse work wise so i've forgotten about cars/bikes/shoes and other things im into. the car hardly gets driven anymore which is abit of a shame but i guess that saves me some petrol money. On the Evo front the car had its first major service in a while. The positive things were that all my gearbox/diff/engine oils were great and there were no signs of wear on those components. I took the opportunity to change to a high flow cat, fitted some new brake pads and some DBA 4000 front slotted rotors. These are the new design and are meant to incrase cooling efficiency as well as fix some of the issues of the previous design.

I've also got a new set of direzza z1 star specs on the way (MOAR LOW BABY!!)
Next up for the car? Walboro fuel pump! also i wont be able to get my hands on a monstersport intake :(, so i'll chrome out and get a carbing instead.. if finances go well

on the bike front.. i won a fixie in a competition recently and that thing will go up on ebay to sell! as for the caad9? i've hardly ridden it, partly due to the fact that im lazy and been working too much. In terms of the build tho, its just the saddle, some little bits and pieces and if i really want... a new crankset. the bike currently weighs 7.1kg so im close to the goal but i'll elaborate more in separate post.

Finally, my woman has got me into redecorating my room or creating a nicely nerd spot for myself if i move out. Wall Vinyls look very appealing, that is if i can get a custom one of the image i want lol. creating a new bed/room space is something that kinda excites me at the moment. however, i need a place to let loose! hahaha

its been a great start to 2011 !

they started with celebrating my 1 yr anno with my bitch by taking her on a helicopter tour around the city followed by a great dinner at a place called sorenzo's. we're going great and i've never been happier haha .. gay :\

things at my new workplace are also going well.. after 2 months on the job i just got promoted! YAY to me lol. i've moved into a desktop engineer position and what this means is that i wont have rostered helpdesk work anymore and have better hours and pay. you cant argue with that! theres always a downside though; more pressure to perform well and ALOT to learn as i'll be responisible for the desktop environment of australia + new zealand. quite the challenge but i look forward to it!

ontop of that my interests have sort of branched out. im obsessed with building the upstairs loungeroom into an entertainment room. i've just purchased a 50" plasma tv, added a media PC for streaming, have a wii and xbox 360 with rockband/dj hero setup. all i need now is to purchase a home theatre system and ps3 with GT5 and cockpit etc.

i've also taken up fishing with my mates, its been a relaxing experience and i've always wanted to learn how to fish. right now i suck great ape balls. haha

finally theres the bike, i'm trying to ride often and build up some fitness and stamina. new parts are arriving (alot cheaper than car parts!) and i'm slowly knocking off more weight. the rider has to improve alot tho! :(

im still waiting for monstersport intake for the evo so theres not much i can do there right now... i did come across some cusco stuff on sale for cheap. i might just snap that up.

PS. my debt hole is on the improve too. looking positive !

its been a long time between posts.. and while the evo hasnt changed at all, my life certainly has.

i'll get into that later but first let me explain why the evo remains unchanged. the answer is simple; i'm happy with it. i like the way the car is at the moment. dont get me wrong, the desire to build my dream evo is as strong as ever.. the problem is parts availability.

theres one purchase i must have for this car and unfortunately its discontinued. i've ALWAYS wanted a monstersport intake and have looked high and low for it. luckily news through evo-oz was that just-jdm had put in a order to have a special batch made but estimates are that it would arrive at the end of march... i'm not really holding my breath :(

so until then.. i can only sit and wait! cause theres nothing i want right now except for a MONSTER INTAKE! hahah

it appears that everyone is out looking for jobs! in Scouts, there have been 6 of us that have left in the past 3 months including myself. Our team of 10 strong is reduced to 4 with another 2 out looking for new work LOL.

Frieda had also started a new job recently and loving it too! My friends are also looking.. with Jess being the latest with landing a great opportunity CONGRATS !!. My friend michelle is waiting to hear about her second interview and my other friends are searching in the new year.

there must be something about 2010 that has spurred us all to fuck off and look for new opportunities

starting a new job next week. im shitting myself LOL, while its been fun times here at my current job. i'm not learning enough nor will be earning enough. The new place is a bank so hopefully this brings more opportunity, more money and more learning! lets hope its not fucked hahah.

its almost been a year with my woman, things are going great and i've never been happier. our anniversary is coming up and i'm lost as to what to do just yet.. so i'm open to ideas lol. i'm not sure if i want to do the typical fancy restaurant thing but i am craving for some fineeee dining duck !

like everyone else, people start to set goals and resolutions for the new year. my objectives remain the same: clear debt, mod cars and now mod bikes. but like everyone else who sets goals, they pussyfoot around and never really achieve them. heres hoping i'm the exception this year.

i've got thien's fulcum racing 1 wheelset as a loaner on my bike at the moment. depending on how i feel on sunday's ride.. i will probably take em off his hands. they are relatively light and have knocked off 700grams from the bike. GREAT!

finally rid of that knocking noise, it was pillowball centre nut on the coilovers. cleaned up teh coilovers with some spray. tightened the nut up and the knocking is now gone.

someone on evooz is going to bring in some monstersport intake kits.. will be keeping a close eye on that. expected to be in aus on in march! i wanttttt

caad9 build - step 1 - tools

while the wallet recovers from the recent service, i decided to turn my attention to my caad9. i've bought a couple of essentials to turn part of my garage into a small bike workshop. i'll be documenting the build on here and showing you the progress of the weight reduction. i'm putting together a list of bits to go on the bike and hopefully bring the weight down from its current 8.4kg to a goal of 6-6.4kg !

popped by GTpumps today, decided that instead of forking out $400 for a single evo8 coilpack. i could get 4 single direct coil on plug ignition upgrade kit. this means that i wouldnt suffer any energy loss with traditional coilpack+leads route and if one fails its easily replaced instead of having 2 sets of 2.

so in the car it goes, misfire is gone.. car pulls well and running great. the softened up coilovers have stopped hte knocking. very happy!

now i have a set of ngk leads i gotta sell lol.

drawing ever so close to the 100000km mark. this is when the wallet gets smacked around hard, the major service is due along with anything else that needs replacing.

last week i had leads and sparkies replaced, this week i've picked up a new turbo actuator .. finally LOL. this will hopefully stop boost cut and my hesitation issue, if it doesnt then it'll come down to sparkies or possibly coilpacks (god i hope not)

also developed a knocking issue from my drivers side wheel well. strut tops? steering? diff bolts? no idea but i hope its nothing serious.
timing belt, balancers and other things to be replaced this thursday.. hoping for a new car haha

car suffered from a bad misfiring issue a few weeks ago. it was sounding like a wrx haha, turns out i had not changed my plugs since .. having the car (rookie mistake). a set of NGK plugs and leads and all is well... kinda? i've got either a boost cut or hesitation issue when i put the foot down. Will speak to the boys @ meek when the car goes in for the massive fuck my life service.

i purchased my bike, introducing my 2010 Cannondale Caad9. Its a quick bike with lots of potential.. much like the evo hehe. Currently weighs 8.2kg, i will try get that down to the 7kg mark so it'll be a true beast!

i'm using it as a commuter from home to work which is a 31km ride. Also going to build the bike up as well so this blog will go off on a tangent every now and then. Geres a pic of it during a break in ride with Dave's Colnago and Tn's superballer TIME

Savings are looking good for Japan! just under 2 months to go I cant wait!

Unfortunately, a new interest is tempting me to spend the money i've worked hard to save. The interest in question? freakin' road bikes ! Now, riding seems to be the 'in' thing at the moment apart from zumba and VW's and you're probably thinking i'm just jumping on a bandwagon here. But, truth is that there is some merit in road biking for me. i live within a good riding distance from my woman's place so i dont have to park the evo outside to brave the elements when i stay over. i also live behind a long bike path that will test and improve my fitness. I also find riding fun, cheap and good for my health.. although i'm skinny as, i eat nothing but junk and will probably die an early death if i dont do something about it haha.

Recent rides with friends have been fun and the problem is that i find myself becoming quickly obsessed with it. added with the fact that bike stores are currently having massive sales so the temptation to purchase something increases greatly. i've done nothing but research and look at bikes non stop for the last week and half and its killing me knowing that i'm missing out on these bargains.

But I need to be smart here and not spend foolishly until i return from holidays.
Otherwise i wont be able to pay homage to Drake by sayin'.. "bitch, i got money to blowwwww!"

one wet morning, i was coming to a stop in traffic then.. BOOM!@#. a blue heavily lubed up honda integra came from behind, skidded and inserted its hard throbbing front end into my lovely untouched rear. it hurt, it really did.. i've never felt something hit me from behind that hard.. at first it didnt look too bad but upon closer inspection we could see how hard and deep the penetration was for the evo, it looked sore and in pain. rear bar broken, boot floor and spare wheel well damaged, paint damaged but thankfully my new exhaust is fine. awaiting assessment from the insurance company then its off to the smash repairers. my once immaculate evo is no longer perfect and that cut me deep.

dropped by meek this morning and got myself a ... Fujitsubo RM01A catback. All i can say is WOW, the quality is absolutely top notch. Its pure japanese porn, the exhaust note is beautiful and not loud either. A great exhaust for my car, quite the improvement from the super straw thin stock exhaust haha. I also got my rear brake pads changed and a service. cars looking fresh, although its heading towards timing belt time.. thats going to fuck my life. i'll try not to drive too much so i can get it done after japan.

got the front evo guards rolled on the weekend with mano. the results are excellent! not only do i have more room, my guards were pumped out as they got rolled so it looks a bit more aggressive. the drawback? some of my plastic trim has been cut out in order for the rolling *prepares to be burned by the boys @ meek* and despite having more room in the guards for my wheels, i could only drop the car just a little under 10mm's because the tyres foul against hte plastic guard lining at full lock !!! DAMMIT!@#!

after driving the car around nsw for a network rollout at work. i discovered large pools of radiator fluid under the front drivers side of my car. i had a look at the area and thought it was the water pump, but realised that this wasnt the gti-r and the pump is in the back of the engine haha. Anywho after a quick visit to meek one afternoon it was determined that culprit was my "ralliart" radiator cap. it had been on the car since the previous owner in japan and only now i was told .. it was fake LOL. it wasnt holding pressure properly which was causing all the fluid to push out my overflow.

You see, the fake version has a rubber seal under the cap and a pussyfied spring, whilst the real ralliart has a silicon seal and a tougher spring to hold pressure. $60 later the issue is solved and i can toss the fake cap in the bin.

That goes to show kids.. no matter how small or insignificant the mod is, ALWAYS BUY GENUINE! cause somehow, someway.. the fake shit will fail you!

Went to see the World time attack at Eastern Creek on the weekend with dave, mano and trevor. Im a huge fan of the Cyber Evo so after hearing they were coming down to australia to compete against the best from Australia and USA i jumped at the chance to see the evo i admire so much. there were lots of cars of different makes on show and it was amazing to see the engineering behind it all. End of the day Tarzan Yamada piloted the Cyber Evo to the quickest time followed by the Sierra-Sierra Enterprise evo and K20a powered Lotus. GOO EVO!

Finally got around to buying spacers, after some research i decided to get 5mm evo specific (correct centre size etc) Ichiba spacers instead of the H&R trak's. Reason being is that these spacers although cheaper than h&r are just as good and have heard some good feedback on them. I got them in the mail today and replaced my old cheapo spacers. I then thought.. hmm lets throw these on the rear, so the cheap spacers are now on my rear wheels pushing out my offsets to +23 all round.

Looking perfect now, but the next few days will decide if they stay on.. cause as we all know, sydney roads are shit and i'll probably scrape and scrub everywhere. lets hope thats not the case!

Looks like I will have to stop car spending as i've just purchased tickets to japan!! i cant wait to go to the land of the rising sun and immerse myself in japanese culture. I'll be going in late september for 2.5 weeks and will be visiting tokyo, osaka, hiroshima, kyoto, miyajima and other popular cities/districts. Although the trip won't be car orientated i'll try fit in some car museums and stores like super autobacs. fingers crossed they still stock cp9a parts haha.

The planning begins soon along with sacrifices to ensure i have alot of money for it. ie. buying evo mods :(

latest mod for the evo ... front lip scrapage!
out at the entrance for the weekend, i tried to negotiate which was probably the worlds worst designed carpark. Not only was the turn so tight to get around, it was also very fkn steep. Now being in an evo with a horrible turning circle and fat ass rims.. can only lead to one thing.. getting stuck on 3 wheels and scraping the front bar lip. very painful!! i will put some cash aside to get it resprayed cause right now it looks disgusting

over the last few months i've noticed my car slowly turning pink.. its giving me the shits cause its really noticeable now. Since i dont want to spend the money on a respray, my mate Koval recommended i give autoglym ultra deep shine a go. He said it worked a treat on his evo and it'll restore my headlights too. So i gave it ago yesterday and the results are well.. very good, the colour came back and my wheel arches are looking more red than off pink. I don't have an orbital sander so i've been doing it by hand. i'll be working on it more today to try get the car back to its former glory.

went for a photoshoot with the guys this weekend. despite the shocking weather we still had some good times just hanging and talking shit. the subject of our photoshoot is david's honda jazz powered by a dc5s k20a. the car is an absolute weapon and theres not many cars that could beat it on the street, an all out build the thing is packed with top of the line hardware. i had mano's lense so i took a few pics and had a play with lightroom to get them looking alright.. its a great piece of software and can turn even the most retarded pics into something decent. pics from the shoot are here!

a nissan man for life?

the last in my short series of "life after evo" contenders. we move back to the land of the rising sun to a brand that i've always loved.. Nissan. In recent times, the skyline has changed from a family sized boat to a stylish executive cruiser. The V36/V37 shows this change clearly and its this model that i would consider. more refined and modern compared to the v35 the v36/v37 is just a better package all round. Powerplant? 240kw 3.7L v6 with some tuning potential (gotta love japs). Modifications? YOU FUCKING BET I WILL! like all jap cars.. you just cant leave it stock! big rims, coilovers, exhaust, intake and if i'm feeling loopy.. zele performance bodykit ! haha prices now are roughly 50-60k so its definitely affordable.. most important of all.. i'd be back in a nissan and its a car i can see myself in !

the money well has well and truly dried up. debts were fast increasing so i had to use money to reduce some of that.. this means that the evo modding is now on a freeze. i'm getting paid next week but i wont be getting any mods. Im up to the 20,000km mark so the car is due for a full fluid change $$$, i still need to get a new actuator so i might just do that too and get an upgraded one (MORE BOOST!). i'm thinking of having a few budget weekends so i've planned this:

H&R trak 5mm spacers and extended studs (to replace my cheapo ones)
Restoring brembo calipers - colour to be revealed

well not quite, its been a while between posts so i thought i'd break the drought by revealing another contender on my list of cars to get after the evo. Once again we look to the european marques for the next car. Behold ! the Audi A5/S5. I've always been a fan of these cars when i first laid eyes on them. A beautiful looking coupe with a nice ass and great set of headlights.. just like a finely tuned woman you'd wanna get in on that asap! the powerplant is more than enough for a cruiser with the a5 having a 3.2L 195kw and the S5 having teh more appealing 260kw v8. modification wise i would most likely keep it standard cause these things are dead sexy right out the showroom. Happy New Year !! hope you guys partied till you dropped, i certainly did! This years theme was a Hollywood/Tv Shows/Celebs costume party. I came as Monkey Magic, the most awesome monkey in history hahah. My family are overseas at the moment and i've been living alone.. so I left the house to my friend Jess so that she could spend it with her girls after their plans were spoiled which was good considering i didnt even make it back home after passing out at the bbq ROFL !

Great times, great friends, good memories.. lots of drinking and food. you couldn't ask for more.

Not much for the car this month. Just going to buy some high quality spacers and am contemplating longer wheel studs for peace of mind but more on that later..

we all remember a while back i posted about my attraction of the toyota aristo as a future pimp mobile. now from the other part of the globe and as part of a short series of cars i wish to own after the evo comes this bavarian treat.

i've always considered european cars to be out of price range and something i would never own but the power and attraction of the BMW 335i is making me think that *YES* i can own this car.. when the price drops... considerably of course! cause right now they are about 100k AUD second hand (FML!). Anyways, bmw's ooze class and success, they handle exceptionally well and are full of comfort but why has the 335i got me going gaga? (rah rah-ah-ah roma roma-ma) the answer is simple, its a 2 door 3L twin turbo 225kw machine! and in terms of mods, BMW's only need 2 things: coilovers and BBS LM's!!!

you'll see what i mean below. hot damn, its sex on wheels.. i can save up for this car! :), stay tuned for the other 2 contenders!

i've been randomly thinking of cars i'd like to own after the evo. the focus is definitely shifting away from hi-po cars and moving towards cruisers and boats, mods won't be as plentiful. Recently, i've taken interest in one cruiser.. known as the JZS161 Toyota Aristo (98-05). Although sold and known locally as the Lexus GS300 the JDM Toyota Aristo is the one that has peaked my interest. Why ? because it comes with the most bulletproof of engines, the 3L twin turbo 2JZ-GTE. theres something about a bulletproof bottom end and the potential for crazy amounts of power that makes the 2jz such a great and appealing engine. its a lexus so the interiors gonna be good and its a cruiser so super good handling isnt a concern either, it ticks all the boxes except 2. it isn't available in australia nor does it come in manual which is a real shame but hey!! maybe in the future they'll be available for import

Now you're probably wondering why the aristo?? the answer is these 3 cars.

1) Friends Racing Aristo - i'm a huge fan of Inose's exploits in this boat, its a 1000hp + nos fitted beast that smokes up everything and anything, watch the youtube vids and you'll know why this car is just so awesome. its subtle kit, big rims, obscene power is what i'd love for MY aristo!

2) Manabu Orido's Ridox Aristo - Max ORIDO ! ROLLING NICE! orido is an absolute gun of a drifter and his daily beast is nothing short of cool. sporting the aggressive ridox kit, the aristo is transformed from a mundane family cruiser to a steroid pumped brawler.

3) Powervehicles.com Aristo - we all know i'm a sucker for red, but this vertex kitted car is just beautiful, theres nothing more to say! the vertex kit matched with concaved rims is perfect.

So.. if i had my way how would i do it? easy. i would be blending bits and pieces from these cars into one. My aristo would be black, with ridox front bar, vertex sides and rear. large BBS rims, manual conversion and at least 400hp at the rears.

Scored some free tickets through work to the v8 supercars telstra 500 @ olympic park. Its the final round of the series and the first time the cars have raced in olympic park. The weather and atmosphere was good and the racing was action packed. Fast cars, fine women and great weather you couldnt ask for anything more! The only downside was that i got sunburnt :(

Been experimenting with ride heights over the past few days, it would look like the original height (2 finger gap between tyre and guard) i had is the best one to ensure minimal scraping of front and rear guards. Kinda sucks as i'd love to have gone lower but the compromise is just not worth it.

Anyways, attended some meets this weekend along with whoring all over the city lol. heres pics from JDMST rims/tyres meet and EvolutionOz.net Hunter Valley Cruise. Going to another meet up tonight for some photatos then the car's due for service.

Been doing alot of research and discussion on forums to see if anyone is running the same wheel combo as me. i've been scraping heavily on bumps and turns with people in the car like.. really bad scraping !! i'm starting to question if the ambitious choice of 255/40/17's were going to work on my car. i came up with the following solutions:

1) sell off my yummy dunlops for a smaller tyre, 245/40/17 or 235/45/17 for a stretched look that will clear the rear.
2) raise the car more or stiffen up teh rear by changing the spring rate
3) cut the rear plastic wheel arches so that the tyres clear

1st option = expensive, 2nd = compromises handling, 3rd = winner. everyone had pushed me to go with option 3 and thats what i did. so we attacked the arches this weekend and cut about 2/3's of the lip off using a dremel and a stanley knife. not the most professional job but its good and clean enough for me. i'll be testing the ride during the week with various people in the car to see how it fares. fingers crossed it doesnt scrape too much so i can lower the car a little more.. so i can have the perfect stance. but for now, EXTERIOR COMPLETE-UUUUUUU~

hung out with some of the jzx crew today, was tagging along with james (we'll call him cunt) and his friend ... james (we'll call him jaymez) get their new rims fitted with tyres. They packed up the echo with like 6 rims and tyres, damn that things roomy haha. we went to doora to get tyres fitted but ran into a snag when fitting them onto jaymez chaser. the boys at doora are too used to fitting lebbo rims to cars and didnt have a socket thin enough to loosen the jdm rims.

So we headed off to Big-O tyres and got them fitted. Cunt is a regular there and they know him well, i was actually quite happy today cause i was getting props for my car by the tyre shops and passers by in cars and on foot, makes the pain of my wheels experience worth it... onto the pics!

jaymez got Origin labs DNA01 rims and they were resprayed in blackish/purple chrome.
Cunt had work VSXX on the rear and work VSKF on the front. they are all running stretched tyres so it provided me with good insight into what stretched profiles i could possibily run.

Dropped by the local spare parts shop this afternoon and picked up some spacers. they are 5mm floating spacers which will provide enough clearance for the brembos. so on they went and presto ! cleared front brakes with about 1-2mm of space between rim and caliper YAY!. threw the rears on, re-attached my new black rear wing plate, went for a test drive and well scraped the whole way LOL so out came the jacks again.

Raised the front to a legal height (2 finger gap between arch and tyre) also raised the rear a little. went for a test drive and all is good with just me in the car. this definitely wont hold with a full load of people so i'm currently thinking of a solution for that. anyways heres some pics of the evo's new look.

dammit, so close yet so far!! i started bright and early today, gave fedex a call and told them i'd be picking up my tyres. Went to meek to loosen up my rear coilovers so i can adjust the height, they wern't digging my chromes but they know it was only temporary. Zoomed home, picked up a few things and went to get my rims. I must say i was a little disappointed in the quality (FUCK!@#) but at such a cheap price i guess i couldnt complain. Then i went to fedex to get my wheels, getting to the driveway i fucked up and scraped my front bar, red paint gone.. (FUCK!#!) need to take more care with this ride height, lesson learned (FUCK!@#) dropped by the local tyre place and got my wheels fitted and balanced, then back to the crib to install.. oh yeh just to note, it was fucking 40degrees today ! and i'm running around like a headless chook sorting this shit out.. hahah (FUCK!@#!). So i start to fit my tyres and to my surprise the fronts dont fit !!! they rub and foul against the caliper (FUCK!@#!) anyways after some advice from my old man and friends we decided to grind the caliper down abit, refitted the rim and it was still touching. Instead of risking damaging the caliper and the rim we decided to put some spacers so we know what we need to buy. Turns out its best to buy a 5mm floating spacer and it will solve our problem.. so end of the day, im 50% away from completion and everything that could go wrong did.. FUCK MY LIFE.

i'll grab a spacer tomorrow and hopefully things will go alot smoother...

Quick update, rims and wing plate have now been dropped off for powdercoating. I've just paid for my tyres from the U.S of A ($$$ ;_;)so fingers crossed they are all ready by the end of the week. Regos paid, council and water bills paid, just electricity left but i'll leave that for the end of the month. All thats left now is tyre fitment, wheel nuts and a wheel alignment. that will be all my expenses for November. All i need is a quiet weekend and i'll comfortably survive this month lol.

I've had the worst morning, traffic was horrific, my stomach was fucked up, work was busy as hell and to top it off it was hot as fuck! welcome to Monday's in Sydney. after a boring lunch, i hopped on to track my rims and to my surprise it said they were in sydney ready for delivery. woo~! i was thinking they'd be in my hands sometime during the week but again to my surprise, the postman dropped by work and handed my wheels over!. Upon closer inspection of my rims i noticed that one rim was scratched, i guess thats the drawback of cheap sea shipping but not to worry that'll be fixed at the painters.

Nightmares were also confirmed with council, water and electric bills sitting on my desk. I will need to be frugal with money in order to pay for powdercoating, tyres, wheel nuts, rego and bills this month. Goodbye holiday fund but helloooooo sexy car!

looks like its going to be a month of bills for november. i've started to save up for a trip overseas and i'm determined to stick by it, although i was quite tempted to use my very little savings to purchase something big for the evo in november. I have however knocked some sense into myself and decided not to buy it.. yet hahah.

Anyways just had my car serviced at Meek and my rego is due and the total damage is just under $1000, alot cheaper if the fuckwits in the motoring industry didnt decide to slap under 30 drivers with some bullshit MCIS levy.. what this levy actually is ? i've no idea!. Theres also the possibility that the killer quarterly bills are due Water, Electricity and Council. thats another $1000 gone.. WELL FUCK ME IN THE ASS! I HOPE ITS NOT THIS MONTH!@#!

so that doesn't leave me with any real cash to buy a catback exhaust for the car. As you may know, the car is too quiet and i wanted to extract some more power. I had been in heavy thought into what the perfect exhaust package would be. Titanium catbacks were heavily considered thanks to its unique sound, performance and light weight but the price is just too much.. something like 2.3k for a titanium system landed in aus. For that same amount i can buy a proven quality stainless catback system with dump and front pipe. I sat on the thought for a few days and decided that was the best route for me. It still sticks with my strictly JDM parts and only the best for the evo just without the baller titanium status. But more on my exhaust combo when i get around to making those purchases.

Just to keep me going, i've purchased some cheap rice lol. it'll be the only purchase for november as i have to keep money aside for powdercoating and tyres for my rims which by the way are still on a freakin' boat ! only 3-4weeks to go i think!

WOW, i didnt know that couriers worked on saturdays! so i was surprised to see the post guy standing at my door step with a large package (lol dirty minds unite!). I had ordered a cusco triangular strut brace with brake cylinder stopper a few weeks ago and its finally arrived!

installation is easy: unbolt your struts, remove the existing brace, bolt in the new brace, bolt in the brake cylinder stopper and tighten.

old brace will be on ebay for sale, will add a link once its up. i've yet to drive the car but i can never really tell the difference with braces haha. its just some extra stiffness and bling for the evo lol

now for the hardest part of this job.. should i or where the hell do i put the cusco racing sticker! haha

Im not a complete fan of old skool and classic shapes. hell, i consider a majority of these old classics ugly looking lumps of metal. but in recent times i've come to appreciate the committment and style that has gone into restoring/re-creating these old birds.. such as the kpgc10 gt-r, the awesome datto 510's, old celicas and the iconic datsun 240z. Its the 240z that has me going ga-ga at the moment, the lovely lines, rear wheel layout and L-series powerplant is something a 25yr old car nut like myself lusts over. This interest or perhaps flavour of the month was heightened after watching and reading the wangan midnight series. The story is based around Akio and his Blue 240z labelled the "Devil-Z" a 3.1L custom twin-turbo that frequents the wangan highways and battles other cars such as evo's, gt-r's, rx7's and the "blackbird" porsche in intense 300km/h runs.

Today, during my usual raids i came across this absolute gem of a car. It is actually the owner of the workshop who complied my evo's car. its a fully restored 1976 Red 260z with 31000kms and wait for it.., a 3.1L stroked L28 engine, long list of period specific goodies and fat watanabes to boot. Not quite the 240z but the 260 is just a 240 with bigger engine anyway.

The stance and presence is incredible! colour (YES RED :D), body, engine .. everything is perfect. its the stuff dreams are made of! in fact its what i would dream of having if i ever ventured off into the world of old skool monsters. The cost of this beautiful car? $50,000. a bargain? for something that will probably appreciate in value.. maybe!, especially if you want a showstopper that'll induce aural orgasms with that roaring stroked engine. This kids, is the classic car i WANT, my very own "Devil-Z" !!

Its been a few weeks and i've no updates to report. my rims are still on a boat, i've got another package coming from japan soon. I started up my holiday savings account and so i'll be slowly contributing to that.

evo is running good and is booked in for a service with meek on tuesday. can u believe it? i've done roughly 11000-12000kms in the evo in about 4months, i think thats alot of driving lol. i'll be getting some quotes soon on a catback exhaust, i have a few exhaust combos in mind but am quite set on the exhaust masters fujitsubo. Will update this blog with something more worthwhile soon!

something non-evo related today ! my mate mike had purchased a mini cooper s recently, its a punchy little thing i can see the appeal of superchargers and the mini cooper s. it handles and brakes very well quite a fun yet gay drive lol. anyways, he purchased an intake kit and we helped install it.

the instructions were quite simple, we spent most of our time looking for a texta to mark exactly where to saw (my fault LOL, i didnt want to botch his car). its very straight forward:

- mark the centre of the hole
- hole saw the plastic where air comes into the stock intake

- have a hairspray break (this really happened, no seriously!! it did)... WTF LOLLLLLLL!!!
- with some love, get the new intake into the slot

after one fucked up retarded weekend i bought a new deck! the car came with soem retarded double din fugly piece of crap Pioneer deck. because its jap i cant get any of the sydney frequencies, cant play mp3s, the buttons are broken, the equaliser is raping my speakers and its huge! so went to jbhifi and got myself this cheapo Alpine CDE-100EUB. It has front USB and AUX, plays mp3/wma/aac and is single din. i'll get it installed this weekend and find myself a single din pocket until i come up with money to get defi's. Also won a $20 officeworks voucher at work so i spent that on a usb stick.

Procrastinate, we've all done it! whether it'd be at home, work or when you're out. That moment when you know you've gotta start or complete something but you just cant be bothered so your thoughts run off somewhere else.

This tends to occur most for me during the middle of the month. The reason for this is that at the beginning of each month i'm giddy and excited like a school girl at a jonas brothers concert. Why? because i just got paid (monthly pay) and i'm mad oprah rich ballin' dawg!! for that first week i sort out my finances, research and look for things to purchase and spend spend spend!. At the end of every month i'm either struggling to survive or anxiously counting down before the next pay day so i can make my next round of purchases. but what happens in between? well after the bank account is bled dry and i wait for goodies to arrive in the post, i do nothing.. no looking for parts, no purchases, no lavish outings.. i just do what i can to ensure i have enough money to get by. I refer to this as the mid month limbo its a place in between heaven (pay day) and hell (end of the month brokeness). its during this limbo period that i do my best procrastinating lol.

Today I was supposed to finish something at home for work. It would've taken 5 mins of brain time but instead i chose to procrastinate. The subject of today's thoughts? a reflection of where i am right now in life. So lets have a look see.. i'm 25yrs old, at this age most people would have established themselves in life. I'm talking of a secure foothold in their career with decent pay packet of course, perhaps a decent amount of savings, an investment, travelled to many places, a nice car, a long term relationship etc. the stepping stones to a good and happy future. Unfortunately, life is never how you plan it and the reality is that at 25 ... i've done fuck all for myself and my future ! hahaha.

I dont have that foot hold in my career, in fact i've just barely started my career and haven't secured my place in the industry. The pay packet is small but enough to support my evo. I used to have a decent savings but that was fizzled away on cars, i've not travelled anywhere apart from interstate. there was an opportunity to invest but with the bubbling market its just not an avenue i should explore in my current position. long term relationship? non existant! but the nice car is there.. and its that car that has led me away from achieving the other things in my life. It is kinda depressing when you feel you've got nothing to show for it but rest assured this is not a serious problem. In fact, as i write this i'm already drinking my big glass of concrete and hardening the fuck up because despite the thought of achieving nothing i'm still happy and have no regrets! lol. I'm surrounded by a group of supportive and good friends who keep the laughs going and keep life interesting lol.

That said, i think its best i made a few changes just so i can enjoy my 20's a little more. I've only just started my career so that will get better as long as i put the hard yards in. My obsession for my cars has always taken priority over other things and the biggest change here is that i will tone down the dedication, i dont have any savings or opportunities to travel because of my cars and its time i get out and about before its too late.

This doesn't mean that the evo will be sold or neglected, its just that i wont be spending ALL my money and time on the Evo. This will be my biggest test, if i can control the money going towards the car and focus a little more on saving and clearing debt. I will definitely be able to explore the world a little more! so thats investments, travelling, finances covered.

Relationships ? I actually don't mind the single life its very carefree but sometimes you get the need for more.. hmm i should hit a brothel or something LOL. Nahh I'm not that desperate...just yet. But there are times where i miss having someone around but i'm in no rush. I can say that my past relationships have taught me alot about my flaws and i've learnt from my previous mistakes. So one thing is certain, if the right person comes along and that opportunity comes knocking i will saddle up and bring it like i've never had before!

But as scarface once said:
"first you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the women..."

To kickstart these proposed changes.. i will stop one my disgusting habits, if i can do this i can do the rest! haha and so i say goodbye to biting my nails

The wheel war has ended and we have a victor

This is going to be a long post lol..

Its been a full on week of research, forum trolling, mind fucking and annoying my friends but i've finally reached my decision! I started off thinking about what size of rim to go with, the winner was 17x9.5J rims. Reasoning behind this was that 18's look too big on evo 4 5 6's so with a 17 i can run higher and fatter profile tyres which is what i want. why 9.5 inch rims? those are just too wide you ask? these are my street rims and if you want a nice aggressive look you go with wide rims! 9.5 rims in the right offsets tend to provide a very aggressive rim design (think crazy dish or concave) these also fit on evo's and are run by many track spec evos by j tuning houses. Although they wont be doing and full lock turns on the track i'll have to hope it will be okay on the street. Tyres will probably be 255/40/17, 255/45/17 or 245/45/17 if i want a little stretch. Unfortunately with 255/45's tyre choice if very limited so i may just go with the 40's and lower the car abit more.. fingers crossed its not going to be a huge pain at that height hehe.

Now, before we announce the winner lets introduce the candidates and the reasons why i did/didn't choose the rims in the end.

Wedsport TC105N - A beautiful rim! unfortunately if you wanted concave just like this picture the only sizes you could get are 18x9.5 +10 or 18x10.5 and these just dont fit! in a 17x9.0 +25 or 17x9.5 there is just hardly any concave and i wasnt prepared to take the risk on buying them despite looking so hot.

Wedsport SA70 - i've seen this fitted on evos and all i can say is WOW! they look so good with its concave and blue inner lip. But once again if you want the really good concave you will have to go with 18x9.0 +20 or 18x10 +18 again both wont fit with the former being just borderline if my calculations are correct. Its a real shame as i really wanted these.

Rays RE30 - the baller rim as i call it! this is the badboy in the rays range. built super tough with decent design it shouldve been a sure winner. however, i've always had a problem with these rims. From what i've seen in terms of sizes is that it just doesnt offer enough dish for the sizes i want to run and in my opinion the re30 looks like complete shit without the heavy dish. If you look at google you'll see that the bigger and more dish the re30 has the better it looks. Also these rims are extremely expensive with quotes of 800-1000 per rim. including tyres i would be looking at spending up to 7k. As much as i love my evo and want to spoil it with high quality j parts, i just cant afford to spend that much on wheels especially if they wont look as good on my car in the size i'm opting for.

The runner up!
SSR Type C RS - after seeing the gallery evo's in hyperev i knew i wanted these rims. but the question remained, will these provide the concave i'm looking for? the answer was a mindblank lol. in the magazines 17x9.5+28 offered the concave i was looking for and the RS was supposed to look more agressive compared to the Type C but pictures and real life are never the same and without finding a supplier with stock in sydney it was hard to get an answer. The design of the rim is quite boring but with concave they looked tough on an evo. But without seeing one in real life in the specs i wanted, they had to go on the back burner.

Work emotion XD9! - The safest choice which met my criteria perfectly were these rims and as a bonus they were the cheapest too lol. In a 17x9.5 they offered an obscene amount of dish, were of a great and tough looking design. PerfecTOoH! I found someone with a set of these in +17 offset to trial fit on my car (thanks spools!) and they looked crazy tough but stuck out too much and would not work with the profiles i wanted to run. so the safest bet was to go with +28 offset (next one up on the sheets). the stock rim is about +35 offset and the gallery cars run +28 which looks almost flush in pics so i'll be going with those.

A quick email to "streeter" and the rims were ordered in white with replacement stickers for when i powdercoat them! now that teh wheels are out the way i can focus on what the car is lacking.. POWER AND NOISE! RAWRRRR

The time has come to buy some new shoes for my car.. i've been thinking about this for a few weeks now and theres just one problem.. WHAT THE HELL DO I GET!?! with so many different designs and styles out there finding the right rim is no easy task. These will be my rims for the street so i'm getting something wide and hopefully end up with aggressive stance and flushness. Its absolutely doing my head in cause in this day and age.. offset is everything!! if you want it to look tough, you get low offset and make it work.. if you want it to look flush, you need the offset to just right in line with your guards.. if you want to look like a douche you get high offset and it'll sit inside the car.. and thats a FAIL in my books!

The criteria is to be different from every tom, dick, and harry that owns an evo that rules out the most popular ones (although they look hot!):

I will not resort to one of these cause i'll end up being a sheep and with the large influx of evo v's in the country i've got stiff competition to set myself apart and have a tough looking street car. As you already know, i'm quite happy at how immaculate my car is. It is virtually spotless, both inside and out.. however its not 100% perfect. The rear wheel arches and bonnet intake are faded. The paint has flaked and turned to shit on the bonnet grill mesh, grill cover and manifold cover and finally the windscreen wipers are faded and also flaked out.

Now, i dont know how to tackle the faded paint as yet but i can restore the black on the manifold cover, wipers and bonnet vents and that is what i've done!

First up, you sand it down.. i used a 600 and 200grit sandpaper to ensure all the black paint came off.

Then you mask off teh areas you dont wanna spray

Its then business time! i used VHT Rollbar and chassis paint for the wipers and VHT Flame proof high temp paint for the other goods as they are exposed to extremely hot engine temps.

All done!

Dropped by meek this afternoon to get my car serviced and coilovers installed. Its like a gentlemen's club everytime i go there! they stand around talking smack with other customers or friends who randomly drop by the workshop. They got my car on the hoist and got to work asap. First up they made sure the springs sat at the same length as the stockers then they spent about 20mins admiring the build quality LOL. the owner from GT pumps asked if could weigh up the coilovers against the stockies and they were considerably heavier. 1hr later all the coilovers are fitted up and we dropped the height by an inch. We couldve gone lower but they kept telling me if i scratched any part of the immaculate underbody of my car they'd kill me hahaha. i'll drop the height some more once i get rims so that i can get an almost flush look.. mmm!!

one quick drive around the block to ensure theres no rattles or issues. then i let the mechanics drive the car to see what they think. they are loving the current dampening settings (almost max on fronts and rears.. stiff! love it!) and off i went. car looks so much better and theres still some decent height left.

My initial impressions, the car is very planted and alot more fun to drive. i'll need a wheel alignment to really appreciate the changes. but i feel confident that with this setup i can knock off a little more time @ the track. Now let the wheel hunt begin!!

oh looky what came in the mail today! this bigass box that crushed my toe :\. what we have here is a set of Tein MonoFLEX coilovers for the evo. the rates are f: 9kg r: 7kg. theres about 16 levels of dampening adjustment and up to 40mm in height adjustment. I cant wait to get these on and see the difference from the stock suspension. Fingers crossed it improves my track times and give me more confidence in the corners.

Car is booked in @ Meek next week to get installed!

what a day!!! that was a full day of fun fun fun!!. Dave and I met up at about 6:30am with a mate of his and we trekked down to wakefield. I was nervous as i had never taken the evo to the track yet and being scarred from my gtir i was hoping i wouldnt have to take a tow truck home. Anywho, we got there signed in went to the drivers briefing then started our first session. We used this first session to get familar with the race lines and the track.

First timed session was up, still trying to get used to the track pulled a dismal 1:22 time. Dave (Type R) was trying to find the right tyre pressure to run and struggled in his session too (he's in a higher class than me). Next session I enlisted the help of Jeff Dunmeade a driver trainer from the states. After some advice and helping me understand the line a bit better we started the second timed session.

With some new found confidence and more aggressive technique i managed a PB of 1:15.6 ! was abosolutely over the moon about this time. especially with crappy Toyo T1R tyres and a stock car. David set a new pb for himself as well so it was smiles all round! Tony and Pete also set new pb's as well ! beware of those jazz boys!!

We had one last timed session and i got to mix it up with dave. there was alot of traffic and the adrenalin was wearing off so consistant times rather than flying laps was what we managed out of that session. We then packed up and headed back to sydney. it was an absolute blast! i cant wait for the next one, hopefully i'll have some mods in by then! BRING IT ONN!!

We concluded our day with food and celebratory drinks for jess. happy birthday jess! welcome to 22.. you old bitch :P. I ended my night @ the retro hotel with some other friends and by the time i got home i had been up for 24hrs straight without any rest. dizzam i'm a soldier! haha

Went to a dyno day @ IS Motor Racing at rockdale, it was mainly an evolutionoz.net day but there were some surprise cars such as an orgasmic M3, gallardo spyder and C63 AMG!!. We strapped my bitch up onto the rollers to see how much power it made stock. The result? a beautiful 158kw's @ all 4's ! with slightly rich Air/Fuel ratio. this is a great base for me to work on and i look forward to extracting more power! when i start power modding!! woo~! It was a great atmosphere and I would like to thank the organisers and IS motor racing for hosting a great day.

Driving home the other day i noticed a strong smell of radiator fluid coming from the engine bay. Popped the bonnet and found a busted top tank on my radiator. For those who dont know me, i seem to have a history of going through radiators or having them explode on my somehow and today was no exception. Anyways, not being a half assed idiot anymore i decided to fork out for a Koyo Alloy radiator, this is alot thicker than the stock item and fits into the evo engine bay with no issues! so off came the radiator and in went the koyo. temps are very stable and with the increased compacity i dont see myself suffering any overheating problems

my friends also got me an ARC titanium gear knob for my birthday. See ya later ugly old knob and hello ARC! Also got a ralliart radiator cap (for bling) and EVO8MR bov. The stock unit on evo 5's is a brittle plastic item which is prone to breaking. The EVO8MR bov is made out of alluminium and holds boost better.

Met up with Martin @ groundzero tinting today. got my evo tinted with a street legal 30% all round. not only was the quality of work great, martin really took care of me and ensured that i was satisfied with the tint. it comes with a lifetime warranty and i've since had 2 of my friends had their cars tinted with him. I will definitely use martin's services for my future cars!

He now has a workshop in blacktown and prices are roughly $150 for most cars. there are additional costs if you need to remove your existing tint.

So, i've got my licence back and survived the long 3 month stint of not being able to drive. Now this wouldnt be possible without the help of my family and especially my friends who have gone out of their way to ensure that i was able to travel to and from work safely ! This is where i suffered most during my suspension, living in a suburb thats not so accessible to public transport was frustrating!! i seriously couldnt do shit! i dont know how people survive without cars.. cause i certainly couldnt.

Anyways, seeing as i've made it without being tempted to break the law and jump into the car i wanna thank the following for assistance during the daily grind...

Dave - Thanks for giving me lifts to the station in the mornings my nigga! i wouldve never made it on time and you saved my mum alot of time by being able to give me a lift. Always good fun catching the train with you and veas dissing everyone and everything LOL.

Twig - Thanks for the lifts to the station as well! always making it just on time then running to the station before we miss the train LOL good times.

Cat aka. Mum #2 HAHA - My biggest thanks goes out to you. I can't say thank you enough for all the days you went out of your way after work just to dive into the traffic hell in order to give me a lift home. Despite working a few suburbs away you were always willing and kind enough to take me home even if it was an extra 30mins added to your daily home trip and refusing to let me catch the train. Not only did you take me home but you also helped out with errands or random things i needed to do. Way Awesome!! It really was alot of fun heading home and having mini d&m's or just talking smack during those trips. After 3 long months, i can now throw out my train ticket and get back into a drivers seat!. I can now drive again and the first thing i did was take the evo for a spin around the block, the power comes on so well but i'm currently overboosting thanks to a worn out turbo actuator that the boys @ meek picked up during my major service.

anywho the celebrations were short lived. my mate twig who had just picked up his spanking new yellow evo 9 last nite wrote the car off in an accident en route to my place. he had only the car for a few hours. thankfully he and his gf are okay and thats all that matters, the car however is totally screwed and its a shame to see an evo looking like that. The car sat in my garage last nite and was towed in the morning. He should be getting a payout but the impression this left on my parents wasn't good.

A valuable lesson can be learnt here, no matter how good a car is.. dont be reckless and drive beyond your limits on the street.

I wont disclose what system it is but it will ensure the car is secure as fuck! with sensors for almost everything and emergency panic buttons etc. i can not confidently park my car anywhere, although i will still take the proper precautions cause society is fucked up these days..

Happy mothers day! hope you all got ya momma something good. I got my mum an electric throwover, we're heading into winter and i'm sick of seeing my mum freeze under 3 blankets when watching tv.

With mum happy, i figure it was time i give the evo some love. Break out the sponges, car wash, wax, vaccumm cleaner and tools. Gave the car the once over its looking very nice and clean now. Some of the things tackled today:

- fixed the doorcard which had popped out of the door/window seal.. absolute bitch to line up and get in properly!
- stripped and cleaned the rear and found a spare center seat belt and buckle. found like 10 dead crickets under my spare wheel LOL
- checked the front door tweeters/speakers, they are shot so i'll be up for some new ones
- windscreen wiper arms are worn and faded, so i'll remove and respray them one day

Got an interesting call from my boy alex @ the workshop. it went a little something like this.

Alex - "Paul"
Me - "Yep, hows it going"
Alex - "Your fucking compliance plate is on, car is ready for pickup come get it!"
Me - "WOOO!~ see you this arvo!"

Off to the bank i went, took out the remaining balance i owed on the car. Organised a driver for my car <3 Dave! and my friend kindly picked us up from work to get the car <3 Cat!. We arrived at the workshop and there she was.. spanking clean in red, looking good and ready to go! it was an awesome feeling to finally be able to take the car home. We went inside to finish up the paperwork, took the keys and dave got ready to drive my baby home. Alex wouldnt let me leave without embarassing me and so we ended up in this video for the compliance workshop. :\

Dave drove my car home and gave his opinion of the car and points that might need improvement. Jess also came down and drove the car to give her impressions of it. All opinions have been considered and will help me with my modding path.

I've only got a week and a half before my licence is back so i will try get a few things done before then!

DONE!#@, The compliance is done!! finally!! its now listed on the DOTARS website. Its just a matter of days before I can pick up the car!. OH SHIT! i just remembered that theres still a good 3 weeks before i can drive. looks like my friends will be driving the car before i can :(

The compliance plate should be sent in a matter of days then its off to the RTA to get the car registered. very happy! we've finally reached the end of the tunnel and now the real adventure begins.

Alright, another fortnight has passed and the rear belts arrived alot quicker than expected. All evidence has been gathered and sent off to the fuckwits in canberra and its just a matter of processing the paperwork, paying the associated fees, getting the compliance plate then the car is good to go for NSW registration.

I'm excited! been following the DOTARS website everyday to see when the compliance is finished. A guy i've been speaking with who got his car complianced in qld said it should only take a week or two after the paperwork is processed. lets hope so! its been close to 8 months since i bought this thing!

Round 3 ! inspector vs evo ... fight !

I must say, now that i dont have a licence and cant drive my gti-r.. time has gone slow if not frozen ! i cant even go run errands cause i dont wanna risk being caught again. I've started hopping on my new bike to try and make those trips but even a bike doesnt cut it. i'm trapped dammit !

Anywho, car will undergo its third attempt at passing... the outcome? failed again!! WTF. This time its the rear seatbelts, apparently they aren't ADR compliant .. well suck a dick mate! i'm raging against canberra again. anywho, new belts have been ordered and apparently take up to 6 weeks to arrive. So i'm looking at getting the car sometime in May.. hopefully!

To add some salt in my wounds, my friend michelle has been giving me shit almost everyday for not having the evo yet and being able to find and purchase her is300 within a few weeks. DAMN THAT WOMAN AND HER IS300 TO HELL!

I'll check back sometime in april to see how we are progressing, this is probably the final hurdle now! and only 1 month till i get my licence back

Law and Order

Sorry for the lack of evo posts, i haven't been able to visit the car and see how progress is going. I guess its cause i was turned off by the last 2 rejections with inspectors so i havnt bothered to trek down and see how things are going.

Anywho, I had my court hearing today. I've never been to court before being a goodie two shoes and all so i was very nervous. To sum up the experience in a word it was well.. frustrating! you have to sit there through all the AVO's and restraining orders before they start with the traffic violations.

I was there from 9am till about 2pm before i was called up to see the judge. I explained what had happened, showed that i was an idiot. The judge said that i was very well presented, took to account that i had a clean record and based on my education and other things said i was of good character who just made a stupid choice. So instead of the $1000 fine and extended 12 month suspension. I got a slap on the wrist, nothing on my record., no extension on my suspension and a 12 month good behaviour bond.

CHEERING!!! thanks to my friends and family for their support and encouraging words prior to the hearing.

AHHH SHIT!!!, its only been a week into my suspension.. and i just got raped! was coming home from the station and out of the corner is good ol nsw police. They pulled me over and gave me a random breath test, then told me to turn my steering wheel and press my horn WTF?!. Was then told to pop the bonnet then get out the car, so i did that, the pigs then started defecting my car. Pointing out things like my pod filter, blow off valve, catch can, exhaust noise etc.

I had my hands in my pocket at the time and the police then told me to stand back and keep my hands out of my pocket in case i was going to attack them with lint or something.. fucking tards.

The other cop came out of the car and asked me about my licence situation. I told them the truth and said i was suspended but took the gamble with driving to the station. They thanked me for my honesty and said that i wouldnt have been caught if my car didnt stand out like dog balls (see attached).

I was issued a court notice and told to find my way home without driving the car. so my parents came to the rescue and were not happy about the situation.

The court date is scheduled for March 25th and i'm praying i dont get fucked up!. once again.. yes its my fault but FUCK YOU ANYWAY NSW POLICE!

This is the day i dreaded most, the suspension is now in effect and i can no longer drive for the next 3 months. I've had a few friends who took the risk of driving while suspended and did fine, though this was before the number of lebbo hoons exploded and the police crackdowns got bigger and bigger!

Seeing as the drive to work is roughly 50mins and the drive to the nearest train station is 15mins, i will probably take the risk of driving to the station in my gti-r everyday and catch the train to work. God I hate public transport but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

nothing new with the evo and compliance process. i've taken a break from seeing the car as its giving me nothing but frustration at the moment.

After some discussion and bitching with the guys at the workshop its looking like the time to get on the road will be a little longer than expected. 2008 is done and dusted, we're now into the 3rd month of trying to get my car road worthy. I've yet to visit the car since failing the inspection but i'm sure its back up on the hoist collecting dust and still shitting on that purple GT-R. Will probably pop by in 2 weeks to see how things are progressing.

Its looking like February before i get the car, most of my friends know that i've purchased the evo .. i tried to keep it close to my chest but the excitement got the better of me. So now they've started the hazing... pricks ! the lot of em!

camping was a blast and new yrs celebrations were great! the results are in and i'm graduating this april. so things are on the up and up!

Just got a call from Alex who sold me the evo. He let me know that the car failed its inspection.. GAY! FAIL! he said that there a few things that need to be changed and they will go for another inspection. unfortunately, its getting close to christmas and close down time so its looking like it'll be done sometime in January.

I always had a feeling shit would hit the fan, but i'm still the optimist and hoping everything will go smoothly!

on a side note, i'm going camping for christmas! and i've paid my fine so i'll be waiting on the confirmation on my licence suspension... UGH!

A late night on the town filled with partying and celebrating a friends birthday, we decided to call it quits and head on home. We were driving down the main strip in the sydney CBD and the lebbo side of me took over, as we were taking off at the lights i gave my gtir a quick squirt and squirt it did ! all over the faces of the occupants in the SSS behind me haha. It was at that moment a ninja police officer and his ninja mates (all black undercover cop cars) jumped out on the side the road, radar gun in hand and told me to pull over.

I was caught speeding down the main strip of the CBD ... yeh nice one genius! he walked up to my car, gave me a alcohol breath test then told me to give him my licence. He came back 20minutes later .. which is probably the amount of time for him to run a check, eat a box of donuts, take a shit then fuck himself. gave me my licence and said i was caught doing 87km/h in a 50km/h zone. This means that i would be suspended for 3 months (once payment is made) and fined $630.. FUCK!

with hopes of having my evo in january this is throwing a large spanner in my works. I will pay the fine asap and get the 3 months of not driving out the way ! oh joy ! and FUCK YOU NSW POLICE, YES I BROKE THE LAW BUT FUCK YOU ANYWAY! :D

Well a month has passed and we're now in the stupid ass burning hot month of december! it has its benefits tho, summer dresses and lots of beautiful women with yummy cleavage... it makes the day just that little bit better haha.

anyways, i've popped in to see the progress of the car. stock airbox has been put in, stock blow off valve and a compliant catalytic converter have also been installed. A quick word with the compliance guys and they say the car should be on the road in mid january. fingers crossed!

Its been a few weeks now, and i've had eyes set at an Evo 6 Tommi makinen edition. The prices are over budget but nothing beats a TME for a raw fun evolution experience. Lets face it, everything else is just soft compared to the TME! unfortunately, because it is a TME people are demanding a premium over them which is stupid but thats special editions for ya :(. Something rather interesting did catch my eye tho!

Around July 2008, evo v's became eligible under SEVS and a few were brought onto our shores. Last week a friend (Thanks Mano) had pasted me a link to a Red V with relatively low k's and good condition that was to be the test car for compliance approval. I fell in love and started to weigh up the pros and cons of having a tme or an evo v. A quick call to the seller and i booked myself a test drive and inspection.

After a good looking over with a friend (Thanks Stevo!) and being blown away in the test drive. I knew i had to have this car! i always knew evo's handled well but the power delivery and the way it sticks to the road is just crazy, just on a completely different level than my gti-r and this car is stock !

It didnt take much for me to put down a deposit and so we move into the lengthy approval/compliance process. i'm very happy and excited !
